Our homepage says we are currently tracking 9 (nine) bills, so that you know we have that many bills just today at the Capital. I will get with Norby today and update our current list, at this time we probably are up to 75 bills with many more yet to come.

Well, it's monday morning and while most people are enjoying the holiday, things are in full gear here in Helena. Between committee meetings in the am/pm, numerous phone calls and e-mails, there are numerous hours roaming the halls trying to chase down legislators, we may take in floor sessions as well. The evenings are generally full as well, hosting legislators at the house, attending social events (which for the first time ever are posted on the web), then home to plan the next days schedule, prepare testimony, clean house and finally call it a night. Two weeks in, only 12 more to go

Finally! I have entered a bio, and will attempt to contribute to the blog a couple of times a week, as will others (hopefully) or maybe we will take turns, but one way or another, we will attempt to keep you better informed than we have over the past couple of sessions.

The first two weeks have been hectic and stressful at times, which never changes, it is that way every session. It has been helpful having others here to help carry the load, Bushnell and Perkins have been here pretty much the whole time, and Jack Trethewey and Joe Sands were here this week to help us out.
