Biography

Greetings brothers and sisters!

Now that I have been instructed on how to use this site, it might become a little more informational to you folks.

First, a brief runddown regarding who I am.

I've lived just about all of my 46 years in Bozeman, and before being hired at the Bozeman Fire Department in 1993 I spent about 13 years in the local radio and television market.

I come from a 2nd generation construction family, and being raised with 9 other siblings, my dad didn't have to spend much time at Job Service looking for hired hands.....er grunts.

I was first elected as pension board A-Member in 1997, and was then elected your President when the esteemed Mike Anderson stepped down.  I have been honored to be re-elected every year since at convention.

Currently I spend as much time in Helena as I can, representing this fine organization, and look forward to the end of the session with high hopes of it being a positive one for Montana Fire Fighters.

I live with my wife Rikki north of Bozeman in a house we built in 1987, along with our adorable jack russell, Hanna, the meanest cat in the world, BooBoo, and three horses.....Socrates, Zeus and Sunny.

I look forward to your input as we cruise through the session!

regards,

Kurt B.
