The days before transmittal bring a message of dissappointment.  Today, HB 408 had a setback, but still has a sign of light at the end of the day.  While it stalled on a 49 - 49 vote in the house, it was resurrected and redirected for further consideration tomorrow, and we hope has the votes to get it out of the house.

SB 373 is up tomorrow, the bill lifting the age requirement for firefighters, and we hope to get it gonked on the senate floor.  Do us a favor if you get this and call your respective senator and tell them this is a bill that has unknown negative financial consequences to our good pension system.

This is a bill that the proponents had no interest in involving us in from the get-go.  Why is that?......we have always been good stewards of our system, and if you're not willing to involve us in the process.........then, we have to wonder what the alterier motive is.

get your senators to vote NOOOO on this, and tell them we will take care of it during the interim.
